Ottone Garden open day: aperitif at sunset in the botanical garden to the sound of jazz

The Ottone Garden opens its gates for a special event to the sounds of jazz music.

The APGI-Association of Italian Parks and Gardens proposes that all Italian gardens join the initiative "Appuntamento in Giardino" scheduled for Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, 2024, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and ANCI-National Association of Italian Municipalities. The event, conceived as an authentic 'garden festival,' was created along with the Rendez-vous aux jardins initiative, which will take place simultaneously in more than 20 European countries.

THE SPIRIT OF THE INITIATIVE

The event, which aims to invite the general public to discover the astonishing historical, cultural and botanical treasures, as well as the wonderful landscapes of Italian gardens, will be an opportunity to showcase to the public gardens that are normally closed and to give more possibilities to enjoy gardens that are regularly open.

As in previous editions, a large number of people will be involved: gardeners, botanists, landscape architects, private owners and park administrators, important foundations and associations with the aim of telling about the universe of the garden, its fragility, its cultural and environmental significance, and its importance for the well-being of individuals and the community. For this reason, the event will also provide an opportunity to inform the general public about the activities necessary to take care of, restore and protect gardens.
